    This section contains links to websites on important humanitarian and social issues created by the Arkhangelsk Regional Scientific Library. Many sites are created within the framework of cultural and educational projects. All the websites are made in Russian. For translation you may use Google Translator.


    CULTURAL HERITAGE OF THE ARKHANGELSK NORTH
    The portal is devoted to the preservation, study and development of spiritual and material culture of the Russian North. It contains information on customs and traditions of northern people, types and genres of art, historical and cultural monuments.

    BOOK RARITIES OF THE ARKHANGELSK REGION
    The website contains information on collections of rare and valuable manuscripts and printed editions held in the territory of the Arkhangelsk Region, as well as information on the establishment of the Regional Book Code.
    The site was created within the federal program «Culture of Russia» and the socio-economic program of the Arkhangelsk Region «Culture of the Russian North (2006-2009)».

    VIRTUAL MUSEUM "BOOK RARITIES OF THE ARKHANGELSK NORTH"
    The website is devoted to the book culture of the Arkhangelsk Region, it provides information on the most important stages of its development, books, scribes and libraries of the Arkhangelsk North. The site was created during the implementation of a special project of the Library which had received a grant from the President of the Russian Federation.

    ANTONIEVO-SIYSKY  MONASTERY:  FROM  PAST  TO  FUTURE
    The website contains information on history and contemporary life of Antonievo-Siysky Monastery and its famous library of many unique manuscripts and printed treasures that had been lost. Thanks to a joint project of the Arkhangelsk Regional Scientific Library and the Monastery part of the book collection was returned to the cultural and scientific environment.

    Local periodicals (1838 - 1945) and rare books (18th - beginning of 20th century) in the libraries of the Arkhangelsk Region
    The website is a united catalog of publications, which consists of two parts. The first part contains information on newspapers and magazines that were published in the Arkhangelsk North from 1838 to 1945. The second part offers a list, as well as electronic copies of rare history books published in the 18th - 1st half of the 19th century that belonged to collections of large libraries of the Region.

    LITERARY  NORTH
    The website tells about the literary life of the Arkhangelsk Region, the history of Arkhangelsk Writers’ Organization, provides information on writers and poets, books and literary journals. It has been created by joint efforts of the Library and the regional branch of public organization "Russian Union of Writers".  

    ELECTRONIC  ECOLOGICAL  LIBRARY
    The website is devoted to environmental activities. It contains information on printed and electronic publications, environmental legislation, reference information on the topic. It is created as part of the activities aimed at improving an access to environmental informational resources of the Arkhangelsk Region.

    GALLERY OF DOBROLYUBOVKA:  ART CHRONICLE. NAMES
    Virtual Art Gallery of the Library. It contains reproductions of works of arts, paintings and graphics, photographs, objects of applied art made by artists from the Arkhangelsk Region. The site provides the chronicle of the artistic life of the Region, information on artists.

    ARKHANGELSK READS ABOUT THE BARENTS REGION
    The website provides information on printed and electronic information resources, describing political, socio-economic and cultural life of the Barents Euro-Arctic Region. It was created within the framework of the project of the same name.
